What makes Noah's Farm a unique farm in Leeds County? Possibly the diversity of birds and animals, flowering plants and vegetables. And the emphasis on critter happiness and fulfillment. We sell only their hair, feathers, eggs and, of course, some of their young to caring people as pets or for breeding. Our aim is to produce excellent plants and animals. People who share our love for animals and plants are invited to stay on the farm for a night or two or more! Noah's Farm started as a hobby farm on County Road 46 just north of Lyn, with two nubian goats, three muskovy ducks, two bantam chickens and a rabbit in 1997. The previous spring we had purchased 220 acres of farm land at the end of Pettem Road, about a mile from the original County Road 46 homestead. There were no buildings, other than an old fallen-down house and the foundation of a dairy barn from years past. The workable land was rented out to a local farmer. In 2001 Ian built a new house and put in the foundation for a new barn and moved some small buildings from the other property. In the spring of 2002 we moved into the house, and the barn was completed that year. In 2005 Ian put up a 30X96 foot greenhouse. |
